Altos reports that active single-family inventory was up 2.6% week-over-week. Inventory is now up 35.3% from the February seasonal bottom. Click on graph for larger image. From the MBA: Share of Mortgage Loans in Forbearance Increases to 0.23% in June The Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) monthly Loan Monitoring Survey revealed that the total number of loans now in forbearance increased to 0.23% as of June 30, 2024. According to MBA’s estimate, 115,000 homeowners are in forbearance plans. Mortgage servicers have provided forbearance to approximately 8.2 million borrowers since March 2020.

The Chicago Fed National Activity Index (CFNAI) fell to +0.05 in June from +0.23 in May. Three of the four broad categories of indicators used to construct the index decreased from May and three categories made negative contributions in June.
