The Cleveland Fed released the median CPI and the trimmed-mean CPI. According to the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, the median Consumer Price Index rose 0.3% in April. The 16% trimmed-mean Consumer Price Index increased 0.3%. The Consumer Price Index for Urban Consumers (CPI-U) released for April puts the year-over-year inflation rate at 3.36%. The latest reading keeps inflation below the 3.74% average since the end of the Second World War for the 11th straight month.
