During the last week of 2024 (ending December 28th), initial jobless claims dropped to their lowest level since April. Initial jobless claims were at a seasonally adjusted level of 211,000. Home prices continued to trend upwards in October as the benchmark national index rose for the 21st consecutive month to a new all-time high.
